The Barber Line
The Barber Line is the name given to the Harrogate Gas Companys narrow gauge railway that carried coal to the gasworks from 1908 to 1956.

It's hard to see on this picture, but this is Barbers tank. Pushing some of the bushes away reveals that the name is still attached to the side.

The Drewry loco, probably the last photos of it before it was scrapped. These were taken in Zimbabwe in May 1997, and I got them from Mr Jim Stancliffe to whom they were sent by the locos owner.
These were taken 11 years after the loco was taken out of service due to a failed transmission (see the NGRS book, page 41), and it appears the engine and possibly other parts have been removed. Between then and now (January 2001) the loco was cut up and scrapped.
